The Limits of Inference GPT-4 and Claude 3.5 are incredible, but their inference latency—often measured in seconds—is an eternity in the world of high-frequency trading. When a liquidity pool on Raydium shifts, or a heavy whale transaction hits the mempool, you don't have seconds. You have milliseconds. We realized early on that a standard REST API call to a centralized model was a non-starter for our core execution engine.
